Chapter 12 - The Missing Context Folder

For every damaging item in Ethan’s packet, investigators started looking for surrounding context.
One audio file:
My voice screaming:
“I hate you! I wish I never married you!”
Ethan’s version suggested emotional instability.
The original recording began forty seconds earlier.
He had just told me he canceled my hotel reservation for a work conference because:
“I don’t trust you alone with those men.”
Another clip showed me saying:
“You’re going to regret this.”
The uncut conversation showed I was referring to him canceling my access to our joint credit card after an argument.
Another photograph showed a hole in drywall.
Ethan’s notes attributed it to:
Emily’s destructive episode.
A contractor invoice showed the hole came from a plumbing inspection.
Again:
Real object.

False context.
Truth was being edited, not invented.
