Chapter 11 - Where the bracelet was
Police found it the same day.
Not because Heather confessed.
Because camera footage gave probable cause to investigate her account.
She eventually admitted the bracelet was in:
Her bedroom dresser.
Inside a winter glove.
She claimed:
“I was going to put it back.”
Then:
“I just wanted to make a point.”
Detective asked:
“What point?”
Heather cried.
“That Joanna doesn’t belong in this family.”
There it was.
Not Louisa.
