Chapter 15 - Walter’s role

Walter did not shave Louisa.
He did tie the scarf.
He carried her outside.
And when I arrived, he physically blocked me from leaving and slapped me.
His justification:
“You were hysterical.”
I asked later through lawyers:
“Was Louisa hysterical too?”
No answer.
He had always believed family order mattered more than emotion.
That morning he treated my daughter’s terror as:
May you like
Defiance.
That mindset became part of every professional evaluation afterward.
