It would not simply steal Mina’s money.
That would have been too obvious.
Instead, it proposed:
Adding Veronica as co-trustee after marriage.
Allowing certain trust-owned property interests to participate in pooled family investment vehicles.
Replacing Sofia as successor trustee with a “professional fiduciary selected jointly by Adriano and Veronica.”
Permitting inter-trust loans under defined conditions.
Increasing investment flexibility.
On paper:
Sophisticated estate planning.
In reality:
It opened doors that Elena and I had deliberately closed.
Who drafted it?
A lawyer Greta had consulted.
Did that lawyer know I had not requested it?
Yes.
The cover email said:
For conceptual discussion only. No representation of Mr. Lucchesi or the Mina Lucchesi Family Trust is intended.
Good lawyering.
The lawyer had not forged anything.
Greta was preparing a proposal she hoped to put before me later.
