Catering.
Flowers.
Entertainment.
Design.
Transportation.
Security.
Some services had already been delivered.
Some deposits were nonrefundable.
Total wedding spend committed:
Approximately $640,000.
Absurd.
I had paid most.
Greta had funded several design elements.
Who owed what became a contract question.
I did not refuse legitimate invoices because the wedding ended.
Vendors had worked.
Employees had shown up.
Businesses are not punished for a bride’s conduct.
We settled outstanding amounts.
The cake, unfortunately, was fully billable.
