Chapter 25 - I remove family influence from Mina’s trust
The trust itself had not been compromised.
Still, the entire episode exposed one weakness.
Too much depended on family.
Me as trustee.
Sofia as successor.
Family lawyers.
Family accountants.
So we amended what could lawfully be amended without reducing Mina’s protections.
Added an independent corporate co-trustee for certain major financial actions.
Required independent fiduciary review for:
Large related-party investments.
Loans involving Lucchesi companies.
Transactions with family members.
Any future trustee change involving a spouse or relative.
Mina’s trust became harder for me to misuse too.

Good rules should restrain the people we trust as well as the people we do not.
