The physical incident was straightforward.
Security video showed:
Mina’s wheelchair lightly contacting the table.
A plate shifting.
Veronica grabbing Mina under the arms.
Pulling her abruptly from the chair.
Mina falling forward.
Head contacting marble.
Veronica saying something after.
Then me.
Medical evidence showed:
Small scalp cut.
Bruising.
No serious neurological injury.
No fracture.
Prosecutors charged Veronica with:
Child endangerment.
Misdemeanor battery.
The most serious felony theories were not used because medical harm was limited and evidence did not show intent to cause grave injury.
